The purpose of this instructor course is to train instructor candidates to teach the American Red Cross Babysitter's Training course.
To be eligible for the Babysitter's Training Instructor Course, the candidate must:
* Be at least 17 years of age on or before the last scheduled session
* Have successfully completed the Fundamentals of Instructor Training Course in the last 12 months or hold a current Health and Safety Instructor certificate
* Complete the precourse session by:
- Successfully performing all of the skills in the Babysitter's Training course; and
- Passing the precourse written exam with a minimum score of 80 percent.
It is strongly suggested that you review the Babysitter's Training Handbook prior to attending the Precourse session.
Upon successfuly completion of the precourse written and skills exams the candidate will be able to participate in the Babysitter's Training Instructor Course.
